Google Cloud, in recent times, has taken several steps to establish itself as a pro-Web3 entity. Now, Solana Labs has partnered with Google Cloud. Through this partnership, the team behind the green and eco-friendly blockchain will use the capabilities of Google Cloud to offer developers its own blockchain-based game development solution. With this, Solana Labs wants to bring blockchain technology to the forefront of game development.

Solana Laboratories created GameShift in 2023. This architecture allows developers to build games on the blockchain rather than letting them handle the intricacies. As part of its solution, GameShift allows developers to integrate non-custodial wallets as well as fast, scalable tools for creating and distributing in-game assets. All of these processes are powered by the Solana blockchain.

“Bringing GameShift into the Google Cloud partner ecosystem allows us to accelerate mainstream adoption by extending these capabilities to their broad global developer ecosystem,” wrote Davis Hart, head of GameShift, in a statement . official statement.

Solana Labs first revealed GameShift in July 2023. Later in October, the blockchain company launched the beta version of this application. Another item offered by GameShift is a NFT Marketplace. This increases the revenue stream for developers and publishers.

Additionally, game development infrastructure also brings credit card payments and banking payment services on the platform. It also offers fee payment management and transaction.

“Many Google Cloud-based game studios want to harness the creative potential of Web3 technology, but the inherent technical complexities pose a major barrier to broader adoption,” said Jack Buser, director of gaming at Google Cloud. Cloud gives developers the tools to create an immersive experience without getting lost in the complexities of blockchain technology.

This is the second Web3 Partnership that Google Cloud hit this week. Previously, Google Cloud hands joined with a layer 1 blockchain platform called Sui with the aim of integrating blockchain solutions with artificial intelligence (AI) and other technology initiatives.
