Solana and XRP ETFs could launch in 2025
Following the approval of Spot ETF Ethereum This week, Standard Chartered analysts said the Solana (SOL) and Ripple (XRP) ETFs could launch in 2025. Indeed, the bank expects more crypto-based ETFs to be on the way over the next year, The Block reports.
Ethereum joined Bitcoin as two of the only cryptocurrencies to receive spot ETFs in the United States. However, Standard Chartered is one of several financial institutions that expect this to change over the coming months. Furthermore, the bank’s analysts emphasize Solana and XRP as the main targets of investment products.

The start of 2024 has seen the digital asset market take a big step forward in terms of overall exposure and adoption. Specifically, in January, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the first Spot Bitcoin ETF to great success.
Just three months after its issuance, BTC reached an all-time high of $73,000 and attracted institutional interest from some of the world’s largest entities. This week, Ethereum joined this list and its own spot ETF was approved. Now all eyes are on which asset could be next.

Additionally, the approval of the Ethereum ETF greatly impacts the security classification issues facing the asset. The SEC’s decision appears to imply that Ethereum, and similar coins, are not classified as securities. This caveat could prove vitally important as more and more assets seek out similar investment products.
Conversley, the value of Ethereum has not yet benefited from ETF approval. Over the past 24 hours, it has fallen about 2% and is trading just below $3,700 according to CoinMarketCap. However, the token is expected to see a surge as the investment product begins trading.
