Pro-Bitcoin presidential candidate Donald Trump has declared himself the “President of Crypto” as he seeks to deepen his standing with the fast-growing ecosystem.

The 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, was in San Francisco on Thursday for a fundraiser. While delivering his speech, Trump went after Democrats for trying to regulate the digital asset sector. Furthermore, he has proclaimed himself a cryptocurrency champion.

According to Trevor Traina, a San Francisco-based technology executive and former Trump ambassador to Austria, Donald Trump said “he would be the president of crypto.”

Trump’s statement comes as he raised $12 million in a fundraiser organized by technology venture capitalists David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya. In recent months, Trump has remained at the forefront of crypto activities, advancing the lead-up to the November elections. He took his campaign as an opportunity to proclaim his love for cryptocurrencies.

In addition to saying he would support the new asset class, Trump recently announced that he began receiving donations to your campaign

Biden or Trump for president?

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden, who is Donald Trump’s main opponent in the November election, has challenged the Republican’s crypto position by crafting his own crypto disclosure plan.

Biden achieved to some crypto industry leaders seeking guidance on how to work on crypto policies in the future. Even with the proactivity of his government, including the approval of Spot Ethereum ETFsmany crypto watchers believe that Trump has a better chance of winning the presidency than Biden.

Nayib Bukele, the pro-Bitcoin president of El Salvador, recently expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to win the 2024 US presidential election.
