Helio extends Shopify plugin with Solana Pay for various crypto transactions
Helio has announced an update to its Solana Pay plugin for Shopify, expanding the scope of supported cryptocurrencies and introducing new merchant-centric features such as NFT airdrops and automatic conversions to fiat currency.
The upgrade, revealed on Thursday, leverages the speed and security of blockchain to improve the e-commerce payment process.
With a transaction fee of 0.75%, the Helio plugin appears to be a more economical option compared to typical credit card fees, which range from 1.5% to 3.5%.
The plugin now supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including major ones like Bitcoin and Ether, alongside PayPal’s PYUSD and various memecoins.
Traders have the added benefit of using Jupiter for automatic conversion of received cryptocurrencies into stablecoins to reduce risks associated with price volatility.
The plugin allows direct conversion between cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies, simplifying transactions for merchants and customers.
