Coinbase lists Pirate Nation Game PIRATE token on ETH
Proof of Play’s latest crypto game, “Pirate Nation,” saw its native token, PIRATE, listed on Coinbase, shortly after its debut on Thursday. Demonstrating the growing intersection between blockchain technology and gaming as the industry gains momentum in the crypto space. The ERC-20 token, called PIRATE, operates on the Ethereum mainnet and functions as an in-game utility token.
Coinbase will add support for Pirate Nation (PIRATE) on the Ethereum network (ERC-20 token). Do not post this resource to other networks or your funds may be lost. Transfers for this resource are available at @Coinbase & @CoinbaseExch in regions where trade is supported.

Run by FarmVille co-creator Amitt Mahajan, Proof of Play received backing from a16z crypto, Anchorage Digital and Naval Ravikant in a $33 million seed round last September. “We believe Proof of Play Points is a way to recognize and reward players for their participation in the Proof of Play ecosystem,” Mahajan said.
The availability of “Pirate Nation”, along with other major products such as “Shrapnel” and “Illuvium” indicates a growing trend in the web3 gaming industry. As a result, even basic 2D titles like ‘Hamster Kombat’ are on the rise, dictating a large number of players.
The PIRATE Ethereum network generated a contractual address: 0x7613C48E0cd50E42dD9Bf0f6c235063145f6f8DC. Coinbase does not recommend sending PIRATE to other networks to avoid potential loss of funds. Trading will begin once liquidity conditions are met, with support for PIRATE subject to jurisdictional restrictions in some regions.
