The increase in memecoin trading volume, which reached the highest level since May 2021, reflects growing interest in memecoins. Tokens such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and Pepe led this surge, with the total memecoin market capitalization rising to $51 billion.
This increase coincides with the burgeoning use of the Base network, with its 24-hour trading volume exceeding $250 million, ten times higher than in January.
