Bitrefill’s report comes as the crypto community celebrates popular Bitcoin Pizza Day. On May 22, 2010, a Bitcoin developer and miner, Laszlo Hanyecz, purchased two Papa John’s pizzas for 10,000 BTC, worth approximately $41 at the time.
This marked the first documented real-world Bitcoin transaction and the Bitcoin community has been celebrating May 22 as Bitcoin Pizza Day.
Hanyecz’s Bitcoins would be worth more than US$700 million today.
